About Campus

TICD – Monduli Campus is a historic Government institution located in Monduli Town, Arusha Region, approximately 45 km from Arusha City. The Campus has a long-standing legacy of empowering communities through practical skills, professional training, research and community development. The Campus traces its roots to 1977/78, when it was established as a training centre for livestock keepers, popularly known as Chuo cha Ufugaji Bora Masaini, through an initiative associated with the late Hon. Moringe Edward Sokoine. In 1983/84, it evolved into the Training Centre for Rural Development (TRDC), before becoming a Folk Development College (FDC) in 2001 and later Monduli Community Development Training Institute (CDTI) in 2008. Today, Monduli Campus operates under TICD and is focused on producing competent community development professionals capable of driving inclusive, sustainable and transformative development. Its graduates are equipped to work in community mobilization, participatory planning, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, resource mobilization, community empowerment and sustainable livelihoods
